Jul. 5--Qualcomm International is making inroads into the fast-growing CDMA convergence market to capitalise on booming demand for integrated multimedia wireless services.
The original developer of Code Division Multiple Access technology plans to launch its CDMA2000 1XEV-DO and UMTS chip enhancement products in the fourth quarter this year. The new line integrates CDMA and GSM technology platforms with the fastest speed of 3.1 megabytes per second.
