Kazakhstan is considering building two new oil terminals and a 150,000t storage facility on Iran's Caspian coast to boost oil exports, says a Kazakh government source. Kazakh prime minister Danial Akhmetov discussed the project on 17 June at a meeting with KazNaphtha, a Ukrainian affiliate of state-owned Kazmunaigaz.
