Jul. 2--Thailand's headline inflation surged to 3 percent year-on-year in June on the back of record oil prices, while the index climbed 0.2 percent from May, according to the Commerce Ministry.
The country's core inflation, excluding energy and fresh food prices, was up 0.5 percent in June compared with the same month last year, but unchanged from May this year.
