Jul. 2--Johnson & Johnson (Thailand) Co is determined to regain the lead in the baby talcum market that it lost 15 years ago to American rival Colgate-Palmolive, according to Phillip Lynch, the company's managing director.
Although Mr Lynch said the goal was unlikely to be achieved within this decade, the company expects its share of the baby powder market in 2010 to stand at 35-40 percent, up from 20 percent this year.
Colgate-Palmolive's Care brand currently enjoys a 50 percent share of Thailand's baby talcum powder market, estimated to be worth about 2.1 billion baht annually.
