Jul. 1--TOT Corporation began offering international direct-dial service (IDD) today to nine countries at just nine baht per minute via CAT Telecom's international gateway, despite the lack of a settlement in an ongoing dispute between the two firms over rental fees.
The service comes after Information and Communications Technology Minister Dr Surapong Suebwonglee ordered the TOT to make Thailand's international call service competitive with Singapore.
The nine countries to which TOT now provides IDD service at nine baht/minute are the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, ...
