Jul. 1--Veranda Resort and Spa Co, a new local hotel development firm, hopes to capitalise on the growing popularity of Hua Hin through its first investment, a 10-rai project under its own "HIP" trendy resort concept.
According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), about 1.8 million people visit the beach destination each year, including 300,000 foreigners.
The company's president Verawat Ongvasith said that the number of visitors to Hua Hin was expected to grow 10 percent annually for the next few years.
