Jul. 1--Central Restaurants Group Co hopes to capture a 50 percent share in Thailand's doughnut market this year via its franchised Mister Donut chain, a plan to be backed up by a 360-million-baht investment to raise the number of its outlets to 154.
Wiwat Lerdprapapong, general manager for the Mister Donut operations of CRG, said the company expected Mister Donut's sales to reach 500 million baht, a 40 percent rise from last year's level of 360 million.
Mr Wiwat claimed Mister Donut held a 40 percent share in the country's doughnut market, estimated to be worth a billion baht a year.
