Feb. 6--Shipping agents and frozen chicken exporters have been given 24 hours to reclaim their containers from Laem Chabang Port for any shipments returned by overseas buyers due to current poultry bans under the bird flu crisis.
Port managing director Teerayudh Dummanonda said at least 15 containers containing frozen poultry products had been shipped back to the port to date, with another 260 containers from Japan and 115 from Korea expected to gradually arrive at the port over the next few months.
Each container contains an estimated 20 tonnes of chicken products.
