Feb. 6--Singapore's United Overseas Bank, the parent of UOB Radanasin Bank, is looking for a possible merger with another local bank, according to Finance Minister Suchart Jaovisidha.
Mr Suchart said UOB senior executives had expressed interest in a merger, although he declined to offer details.
"But if a deal does go through, it will prove to be the second for the year," he said. Mr Suchart met UOB executives earlier this week during a roadshow to Singapore to brief investors there on the implications of the country's new financial master plan.
