Feb. 7--Univanich Palm Oil Plc said it has completed Thailand's first export of oil palm seed to growers in Colombia. The 150,000 hybrid seeds were air-freighted in January, with further orders for shipment in February and March.

Managing director John Clendon said the order was a breakthrough for Univanich. "Colombia is South America's largest palm oil producer and for Univanich to obtain seed orders in that competitive market is recognition that the company's breeding programme is producing world-class material."
