Jan. 7--Thai shrimp exporters said yesterday they were ready to fight back against US allegations that Thailand and five other countries have been dumping shrimp on the US market at unfairly low prices.
Rachane Potjanasuntorn, the director-general of the Foreign Trade Department, said the government would work closely with the related associations to hire lawyers to fight the case.
According to Mr Rachane, a questionnaire on production costs, export volumes and shrimp prices sent by the US International Trade Commission to Thai shrimp producers was expected to become available today.
