Jan. 7--Despite the overall positive outlook for a rise in exports this year, many exporters are concerned that the strong baht and terrorism could have a negative impact on international trade, according to a survey.

Many exporters were still worried that the strength of the baht against the yuan and the US dollar could hurt export competitiveness, said Aat Pisanwanich, director of the International Trade Studies Centre of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.

Competitiveness would be reduced in line with the increase of non-tariff barriers in key regions that import goods from Thailand such as the United ...
