Jan. 6--The chief of Thailand's largest agribusiness group, Charoen Pokphand Group, has forecast continued growth in demand for rubber and rice in the coming year.
Dhanin Chearavanont said demand for the products remained high due to a favourable world economy, especially in Asia, where growth was expected to be 6.7 percent next year.
Many traders agree that 2004 will be a good year for Thai agricultural producers, with particularly strong growth in Chinese demand.
