Jan. 9--Thailand has a good chance of overtaking Singapore to become the region's logistics hub given the country's strategic location and rising concern about pirates in the Malacca Strait, according to the Bangkok office of the Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro).
The agency has proposed that its Tokyo head office provide backing for an intra-Asean logistics support project in Thailand this year.
