Bangkok Bank to Pay Dividend 'as Soon as Possible'.

Jan. 9--Bangkok Bank expects to pay a dividend for 2004, after clearing its current accumulated losses and redeeming its 46 billion baht in outstanding capital securities later this year.
"We may be able to pay a dividend for this year. ... We would like to do so as soon as possible," said bank chairman Chatri Sophonpanich. "But once we pay a dividend, we must have the confidence that we would be able to do so steadily into the future."
