Jan. 12--New York-area residents will have an opportunity to do something this weekend their beloved New York Yankees could not -- beat a Florida (Keys) Marlin.
At the Adventures in Travel Expo, representatives from the Monroe County Tourist Development Council are featuring a virtual fishing simulator to provide show attendees the experience of catching a marlin. The expo is being staged today and Sunday at the Jacob Javits Center in Manhattan.
The top scoring "angler" will win a trip for two to the Drambuie Key West Marlin Tournament, set for July 21 to 24, with accommodations at the Doubletree Grand Key Resort.
