Feb. 4--Economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Thailand, soured by a 1989 jewellery theft, could be revived as early as this year with Riyadh giving greater market access to Thai goods and services as part of the terms of its accession to World Trade Organisation (WTO) membership.
Saudi Arabia, one of the world's last remaining economies that have not become WTO members, would need to strike accords on market access with Thailand, the United States, China and a few other states before joining the world trade body.
