Feb. 4--Corporate tax reductions are to be offered as an incentive for operators of buildings and factories to participate in the government's energy-saving programme.
Siriporn Sailasuta, director-general of the Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, said the department was preparing the criteria for the programme to be proposed to Energy Minister Prommin Lertsuridej. The Energy Ministry would also discuss its implementation with the Finance Ministry.
In principle, Mrs Siriporn said, the energy costs saved by the building and factory operators could be deducted from their taxable incomes.
