Feb. 4--With the completion of a 2.9-billion-baht expansion at its brewery in Nonthaburi, Thai Asia Pacific Brewery Co (TAPB) will begin to export locally-brewed Heineken beer.
TAPB, majority-owned by the Thai Life Insurance Group, aims to earn 20-30 percent of its revenue from exports in the next five years.
The expansion, which has doubled annual production capacity to 200 million litres, makes the brewery the largest and most modern facility producing Heineken beer in the Asia-Pacific region, said Panya Pongtanya, the company's general manager.
