Thai Tile Maker Union Mosaic Pins Hopes on Expansion Plan.

Feb. 3--Union Mosaic Industry Plc (UMI) expects to increase its market share to 18 percent over the next three years from 15 percent after completing a production capacity expansion plan.
The company, which produces granite and ceramic floor and wall tiles under the Duragres and Lila brands, will invest one billion baht to raise production capacity by 12 million square metres annually, or 85 percent of its current capacity of 15 million sq m.
The expansion aims to tap rising market demand driven by the booming property sector, according to president Paweena Laowiwatwong.
