Thailand's Major Cineplex Recruits Foreign CEO to Scout New Investments.

Feb. 3--Major Cineplex Group Plc, the country's largest cinema chain operator, has recruited a former 3D Imax executive from New York as chief operating officer as part of a plan to consolidate the group's business strategy.
Brian Hall, a Canadian executive, has set a 30 percent growth target for both net profit and sales revenue for this year.
The move is the company's first major operational shift in nine years, after its previous focus on diversifying its entertainment business. Major was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2002.
