Sarah Kelly, "Take Me Away" _ 3 { stars (Gotee)

There aren't many female voices that can truly make the cut in the rock world. You need passion, strength, range _ and a voice like Sarah Kelly's.

Her faith is evident throughout this CD. All the tracks were written or co-written by her, a rarity among most recent releases.

The disc starts off with "With You," a mild, yet grooving cut (reminiscent of Natalie Merchant of 10,000 Maniacs) that talks about her desire to spend time with her Savior.

In the already successful radio track "Take Me Away," Kelly's voice is like a revving engine. Her smooth sound glides through the verses and punches the chorus with such strength that I was swept up by the song.
