Feb. 28--Mechanicsville-based AMF Bowling Worldwide Inc. is under new ownership.

Code Hennessy & Simmons LLC, a Chicago-based equity firm, completed its acquisition of AMF yesterday, three months after the deal was announced.

Kingpin Holdings Inc., an affiliate of Code Hennessy & Simmons that was created for the acquisition, bought the bowling company for $25 per share, or about $670 million. AMF's shareholders approved the deal Thursday.

AMF, the world's largest owner and operator of bowling centers, also has a new president and chief executive officer.
