Mar. 2--The Bank of Thailand will shortly issue new measures aimed at clamping down on the rapid growth of non-bank credit cards issued to low-income groups, according to Tarisa Watanagase, deputy governor for the financial institutions stability group.
She said the central bank was increasingly concerned with the steady rise in credit cards and the fact that the highest proportion now was in the low income segment provided by non-bank issuers.
