Mar. 3--Almost 50 high-rise projects across Bangkok remain suspended despite strong demand since last year, according to market research by Jones Lang LaSalle, a property and investment firm.
The company's findings show the construction of 27 office buildings, 16 condominiums and five apartments and serviced apartments have been put on hold since 1997, said Robert Collins, head of investor services.
The 27 unfinished offices had a combined space of 576,900 square metres, accounting for 8 percent of the total space of 7.02 million sq m in Bangkok, he said.
