Mar. 3--Siam Commercial Bank would consider a potential merger with Thai Military Bank in the future, according to SCB chairman Chirayu Isarangkul Na Ayudhya.
But any talks would come only after TMB completed its ongoing takeover of DBS Thai Danu Bank and the Industrial Finance Corp of Thailand.
"The Finance Ministry, as major shareholder of both [SCB and TMB], has proposed that the bank might consider talks for a merger," Mr Chirayu said.
