Renovations galore and happy kids.
That's the goal this summer for Albuquerque Public Schools' new athletics director, Ken Barreras, who told The Tribune he was hired Thursday to fill the vacancy left by Scott Evans.
Barreras, 36, who coached Albuquerque High's football team from 1998-2002, said when you oversee a $2 million-plus budget for the city, you have to produce in this case, with the renovations of Wilson and Milne stadiums.
