Mar. 24--A former Toyota employee accused the company Tuesday of asking her to resign because she tried to plan a visit by former POW Jessica Lynch to the Buffalo plant.
Catherine J. Gallagher accused the company and her former bosses of firing her because "the Japanese did not want an American war hero in their facility," according to her Kanawha Circuit Court lawsuit.
Gallagher, who began working at the plant in 1997, alleges the company offered her severance pay, placed her on administrative leave, then asked her to resign while she was trying to schedule a visit by Lynch.
