Mar. 20--CHESAPEAKE, Va. -- A Richmond-based organization has expanded to Hampton Roads, providing more borrowing options to small businesses that have won government contracts.

The Virginia Community Development Fund, which is working with the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center in Chesapeake, said it will offer working-capital loans to small firms in the region that receive federal, state or municipal contracts. In addition, it will provide revolving lines of credit to small businesses that have transportation-related contracts from the Department of Transportation and other government agencies.
