Apr. 1--Directors of the Provincial Electricity Authority have given approval for a 3.8-billion-baht solar power project to move forward, even as questions over the transparency of the procurement bids linger.
The PEA board on Tuesday insisted that the project, to supply rural homes with electricity from solar power, would be carried out with full disclosure.
The PEA labour union earlier asked the board to investigate the procurement process after STP Joint Venture, one of the project bidders, filed a petition to the House Energy Committee claiming procedures were rigged.
