Apr. 3--Farm incomes have risen by about 70 percent as a result of the three-year farm debt suspension programme by the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Co-operative, according to Deputy Finance Minister Varathep Ratanakorn.
The three-year programme, a key plank of the Thai Rak Thai Party's rural development policy, officially ended on Wednesday.
Mr Varathep said that before the programme began, farm incomes averaged 68,560.47 baht per year, but had risen to 116,641.61 baht last year.
