Thai Electricity Authority Chief Cleared of Mismanagement in Banpu Deal.
Apr. 2--Sitthiporn Ratanopas, the governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat), has been cleared of any mismanagement related to a failed share swap deal with Banpu Plc.
The results of the government's investigation into the transaction will be submitted to the Egat board today.
Energy Minister Prommin Lertsuridej set up the commitee, chaired by Norkun Sitthipong, the ministry's deputy permanent secretary, to probe allegations of mismanagement raised by Egat's labour union.
