Exports and 7-Eleven Deal to Lift Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Rice Sales.

Apr. 2--The Charoen Pokphand Group expects its sales of white rice to jump by 30,000 tonnes to 100,000 tonnes this year, driven by sharp gains in exports.
The group's white rice exports alone would top 60,000 tonnes this year compared with 36,000 last year, said Sumeth Pinyosnit, area president (Thailand) of the CP Crop Integration Business Group.
He said the company also saw good potential for white rice in the domestic market, in particular packaged rice.
Last year, the group sold about 10,000 tonnes of packaged rice through its affiliated 7-Eleven convenience store chain, other outlets and agents. Recently ...
