Apr. 2--MFC Asset Management Plc is preparing to offer a new Global Bond foreign investment fund by initially focusing on countries in the Asia-Pacific region in order to diversify currency risk, according to president Pichit Akrathit.
The company's second foreign investment fund (FIF), to be launched by mid-May, will be co-managed by Nikko Global Asset Management Group in Singapore. It will invest mainly in state-enterprise bonds in regional markets including Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
