The New York Public Library (NYPL) has given its homepage (www.nypl.org) an "extreme makeover" that includes a new look and additional resources and services. The site debuted roughly a decade ago, and "since that time, technological advances, user demands, and ever-expanding content have prompted many updates," the last of which was in 1999, NYPL said. Unlike minor cosmetic tweaking, this latest revamp is described as "a complete reconception of 25,000 pages of information and resources."
