Apr. 6--Thai shares rose another 2.42 percent yesterday, marking the third consecutive trading day of gains on the back of strong buying into blue-chip stocks, which were expected to benefit from the investment of Vayupak Fund.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand index closed at 709.89 points, up 16.77, in heavy trade worth 37.92 billion baht. Leading trade were transportation, which rose 5.34 percent, banking, up 0.21 percent and communications, up 5.44 percent.
