Apr. 5--Serm Suk Plc, the local bottler of Pepsi, is in talks to buy a larger stake in Yeo soybean milk in Thailand from billionaire Ng Teng Fong of Singapore.
Sources said Somchai Bulsook, the chief executive of Serm Suk, was negotiating to acquire an undisclosed share of Mr Ng's interest in Serm Suk YHS Beverage, the Bangkok-based joint venture set up in 1997 to market Yeo.
Mr Ng, billed as Singapore's largest landlord after the government, now has a 49 percent stake in Serm Suk YHS Beverage while Serm Suk holds 51 percent.
