Jan. 24--A federal court has ordered local real estate associations to set user fees for a property-listing service independently of one another.
The injunction, granted earlier this week, stems from a 6-year-old case filed by several agents who objected to the uniform fees that five competing associations in San Diego County charged.
The San Diego, North County, East County, Coronado and Pacific Southwest (South Bay) realty associations merged their separate multiple-listing services 12 years ago into one company, Sandicor Inc.
From then on, agents paid the same quarterly dues to cover Sandicor's data-processing …
