Readers of our May 10 report on the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse were outraged by the scandal. "Most disturbing is the reluctance of those at the top to act," wrote one. Said another, "I'm angry, I'm ashamed of America." One hated our headline: " 'Rough Justice'? It's torture, plain and simple."
