May 4--The Thai units of Pioneer, Samsung, Sony and LG are pinning their hopes on Euro 2004, European football's premier competition in late June and early July, to turn around the sluggish consumer electronics market.
In the run-up to the widely viewed event, which is held once every four years, the four consumer electronics companies plan to spend at least 100 million baht to promote their TV sets from mid-May to June.
