May 4--Ten loss-making state enterprises will finalise new business plans by the end of the year, according to Areepong Bhoocha-oom, deputy director-general of the State Enterprise Policy Committee.

Revamping operations at local state enterprises is a key element of the government's economic reform programme.

Business restructuring plans have already been finalised for around 10 state enterprises, with another 10 still in the process of drafting their plans.
