May 4--Electricity costs could rise by 32 satang per unit (kilowatt-hour) to reflect rising energy costs in the local and global market.
Sitthiporn Ratanopas, the former governor of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, noted that natural gas prices have risen in recent months to 155 baht per one million BTU (British Thermal Units) from 115 baht earlier.
