May 7--Hospitals are organisations whose core activities are universally associated with charity, compassion and the gentler side of human nature.
Promoting them as profit-making businesses, therefore, presents a dilemma.
"When you run a private hospital, you can't talk a lot about profit. Instead, you have to use a lot of what is called compassionate marketing," said Dr Chatree Duangnet, director of Bumrungrad Hospital.
