May 7--The outlook for the Thai advertising industry remains bright for the rest of the year despite lingering uncertainties, including the potential for more violence in the South, rising oil prices, and the risk of Sars making a comeback.
Barring a catastrophe, industry executives said any slowdown that may result would likely be offset by election spending by political parties, as they start gearing up for a heated campaign toward the end of the year.
This year should see growth of about 10-15 percent in the advertising industry, which earned 71 billion baht last year.
