Apr. 22--INEZ PAROLY, senior vice president of merchandising for Allied Office Products, Clifton, has been named a recipient of this year's Richard Karasik Humanitarian Award by the UJA-Federation of New York.
The Karasik Award is presented to leaders in the office products industry who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement and a commitment to philanthropy.
Paroly began her career 22 years ago as a customer-service representative at Publix Office Supplies in Chicago. As merchandise manager, she helped develop Publix's first office-products catalog. When Publix was sold to BT, Paroly was asked to join the company's new North American corporate office. Serving as senior merchandise manager, she was part of the team that created the first BT office-products catalog.
In 2001, Paroly joined Allied Office Products as senior vice president of merchandising. At Allied, she has been recognized for creating the merchandising team that has fostered strong relationships within the supplier community industry.
