Versamark Sales Help Boost Parent Eastman Kodak's Profits.

Apr. 22--Eastman Kodak Co., the new owner of the Kodak Versamark digital printing equipment plant in Kettering, reported Wednesday that corporate net income more than doubled in the first quarter.

The long-time film company, now changing into a digital technology business, said first-quarter revenue rose 11 percent led by demand for digital cameras and other new technology products. A favorable foreign exchange rate also boosted revenues.

Corporate sales totaled $2.9 billion, up 11 percent from $2.6 billion a year ago.

Net profit totaled $28 million or 10 cents a share compared to $12 million or 4 cents last year. …
