May 3--NEW YORK -- Thai companies and individuals involved in the sex tourism industry will increasingly find themselves left out in the cold thanks to a crackdown by leading global travel and tourism industry players.

The latest company to take a stance on commercial sexual abuse of minors is the privately held, Minneapolis-based travel and tourism giant Carlson Companies, which last week became the first US company to adopt the global Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism.
