May 3--The Starbucks coffee chain is capitalising on the legend of a 97-year-old colonial style house, complete with an Art Nouveau interior, in a prime tourist spot in Bangkok's Khao San area to attract more customers.
The outlet, opened on Saturday, is the chain's latest and 44th location in Thailand.
The "House of Khao San" location represents one of the new business initiatives adopted by Starbucks Coffee (Thailand) Co to boost sales in the crowded cafe market.
The company wants its outlets to be wherever people are, said Andrew Nathan, the company's managing director.
