May 1--The listed developer M.K Real Estate Plc recorded satisfactory sales of 615 million in the first quarter, up 150 percent year-on-year, despite the slowing growth of the housing industry after buyers sped up purchases last year to avoid paying higher transfer and mortgage fees after Jan 1.
M.K. president Chuan Tangmatitham said many developers experienced a slowdown in the first quarter but his company performed well, when compared with sales of 244 million baht in the first quarter of last year and 400 million in the fourth quarter.
