Apr. 14--Strawberries enjoyed a bonanza year in California during 2003 and Santa Maria, the third largest production area in the state, is preparing to celebrate.
The 17th annual Strawberry Festival is being held from April 23 to 25 at the Santa Maria Fairpark. Running 11 hours each day, the festival includes a strawberry pavilion that features a strawberry farmers market, a chef demonstration, educational exhibits plus berry displays and tastings.
